Asus Strix GeForce GTX 960 DirectCU II OC 2GB Overclocking Results

Using the Asus GPU Tweak software, we set the power limit to the maximum value of 115 percent and did the same for the temperature limit – 95°C.

We then managed to add an extra 100MHz on to the core frequency, taking it to 1,354MHz. This gave us a rated boost clock of 1,417MHz, but it was actually boosting to a constant 1,518MHz, which is fantastic and on par with the best we've seen from second-generation Maxwell GPUs thus far. This core overclock is 8 percent quicker than Asus's settings, and 20 percent faster than reference. We tried to increase the clock speed even more by increasing the cards voltage's, but even with the minimum voltage increased by 150mV and the maximum by 50mV (the maximum allowed in both cases), even an extra 20MHz wasn't possible to keep stable.

We also managed to get the memory up to 7.9GHz effective, which is 10 percent quicker than Asus's already overclocked memory and again on par with the best we've seen from Maxwell products.
